"​This painting is of a garden and home based in Leura,
Blue Mountains. Titled Mother's Garden, whilst a personal piece, this limited edition print is a special artwork for anyone who appreciates gardens and charming old homes - especially in Leura. I hope it captures the essence of this special place and it's vibrancy in Spring.
Many classical concert fundraisers and family get togethers were held throughout generations in this beautiful Leura parklike garden (approximately 2820 square metres) featuring Paul Sorenson planted trees (the same person responsible for Everglades Garden in Leura) with over 300 types of roses and many rare and old special plantings. - paradise. Originally a garden weekend retreat over generations, my mother then lived there for 20 years and every bit of spare money she had she created a garden of sublime beauty. Swane's nurseries tried out many new varieties of roses here - hybrids not found anywhere else.
Evening Christmas Concerts and Carols with lanterns throughout the grounds were held here.
